Everybody knows that having your own website is one of the key factors of creating success online when it comes to making money. But many think that building a website is difficult. I have to admit, it does seem a challenging task at first sight. What I'm going to show you in this article is how to build your first website from scratch - without pulling your hair out! Step 1 - Get a website editor There are free and paid options for this. One free option is NVU. It's useful and great for getting started. Once you get more advanced, you can get a paid editor like FrontPage or Dreamweaver. Step 2 - Have a website concept Have a concept for your website planned out on a sheet of paper or on your computer. You should have an idea of these things - your type of web content, your template design, the colors, the navigation bar and so on and so forth. Step 3 - Get a domain name and hosting account I recommend getting a domain name from Name.com or Namecheap as they do provide really good value for money. For hosting, I'd recommend Host Gator. They are one of the top names around for reliable web hosting. Step 4 - Get a web template You can get one of those free templates around or you can hire a web designer to create a fresh new template for you. Personally, I feel that if your website business is a serious one, you should flesh out a little money to get a professional design done. Step 5 - Create your content Content creation is one of the biggest problems facing webmasters. Here's an easy way to get content - go to article directories like EzineArticles and use the masses of articles available. Just remember to leave in the resource box when you publish the articles. Step 6 - Load up your website This is the last step. Simply load up your website to your hosting account using an FTP program. The one I personally use is Smart FTP. It's easy to use and you can get started using it within minutes!
